Ruth Noble Counselling

I am a qualified counsellor with a quiet and calm presence who is dedicated to offering safe, confidential and consistent support to my clients.

I offer a welcoming and non-judgemental space for you to focus on yourself and whatever may be causing you distress.

This may be anxiety, fear, depression, loneliness, low self-esteem. You may be experiencing a transition of some kind or feeling overwhelmed. You may have experienced a trauma or a bereavement. You may have a nagging sense of unidentifiable unhappiness and malaise.

Counselling can give you an opportunity to explore and reflect on these feelings. The experience of being heard and understood can provide some immediate relief.

My pronouns are she/her.

Home: Welcome

During the pandemic I am continuing to offer face to face counselling in a Covid-secure environment. I am following Government guidelines and am working to keep my clients safe by taking regular lateral flow tests. Whilst I am no longer wearing face masks as standard during sessions I would be very happy to wear one during our session should this be your preference.

My approach is underpinned by Carl Rogers’ core conditions of Empathy, Honesty, and Unconditional Acceptance.

This means I will always honour your experience, I will always be honest with you and I will never judge you.

I offer an initial 50 minute session at £25. This allows us to get to know each other, to discuss what your requirements may be and why you have decided to seek counselling, and to decide if we can work together.

If we commit to working together I offer 50 minute sessions at £50 per session. Sessions take place regularly for as long as you require.

Face to face sessions take place at a dedicated wellbeing centre in South Norfolk. Sessions are also available online or over the phone.

In our counselling sessions we will talk about your feelings and how you are experiencing the world at present.

We will talk about what causes you pain and distress; also what makes you happy and who and how you want to be.

We will talk about the people in your life and how you feel and act around them.

We will work together to identify and meet your needs.

Our work together may include:

  • Discussing your past to discover how it is affecting your present.

  • Accessing your innate creativity and imagination.

  • Inviting you to become aware of your feelings and bodily sensations.

  • Inviting you to express yourself in a new way.

  • Exploring how different aspects of your self interact.

Working at depth in this way we can find a way for you to move confidently forward in your life.
