Ruth Noble Counselling
Does it feel like you’re not doing life right, somehow?
Are you feeling lonely and unconnected?
Are you not really sure you like yourself very much at the moment?
Have you experienced a bereavement or trauma in the past, or perhaps it is ongoing, that you feel is adversely affecting your life?
Counselling can help you work out what has gone wrong, and how to get back on track to living a life that is fulfilling and aligned with your values.
Maybe you think you’re not worth the effort, or your problems aren’t significant enough to bring to therapy. But if it’s important to you and is affecting your quality of life then it is significant.
I would love to help you make some changes. Everybody deserves the chance to live their life intentionally.
In our counselling work together we could:
Really consider your identity – who you want to be and how you want to live your life.
Talk through your past experiences and identify the underlying factors that are influencing how you are living now, so that you can make a conscious choice to embrace them or release them.
Learn about the combination of strengths and limitations that make you uniquely you, working on creating a better relationship with yourself to support your relationships with others.
Co-create a gently curious non-judgemental listening space in which to identify and freely express your feelings about these past events allowing you to make a conscious choice about how to move forward.
Everyone has different needs, and will get different outcomes from the work we undertake together. I’d love the chance to discover how counselling will benefit you.Book in for your half price session and try me out. There’s no obligation to commit to long term counselling if it isn’t right for you just now, but this could get us started and we could make a real difference to your life.
I am a qualified counsellor with a quiet and calm presence. I am dedicated to providing a confidential and consistent space within which I support my clients to find personal fulfilment; to examine their identity and values; to make intentional choices; to develop their self-esteem, self-acceptance and self-compassion.
Throughout studying for my counselling degree, working at Mind, and in my private practice I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients with a variety of needs. I have witnessed people:
-
Working out who they want to be rather than who everybody else thought they should be
-
Learning to let their uncomfortable feelings wash over them
-
Learning to trust themselves to withstand the pain of their grief
-
Acknowledging and coming to terms with the disappointments of their life
-
Letting go of self-blame for past actions so that they can start looking forwards
-
Growing into a person they can be proud of
-
Learning that it’s ok to have needs and wants
-
Making the transition to independence and self-reliance
-
Surviving crises in their lives
-
Becoming brave enough to face the pain in their past that has been hindering their present
-
Becoming brave enough to step out into the world as their true self
-
Learning to be a better friend to themselves and others
-
Accepting that there’s a lot of different ways to be, and to trust that their way of being is ok
